I am a senior researcher with 8+ years of experience and I am the Director of Science at Flo Health.
I graduated in Psychology (MSc cum laude) at the University of Turin in 2014. I then worked for a year as a neuropsychologist in a Rehabilitation Centre for Patients with Acquired Brain Injury. In October 2015, I moved to London to start a joint-lab PhD at University of Hertfordshire, supervised by Dr. Paul Jenkinson and UCL, supervised by Prof. Katerina Fotopoulou.
My research interests since my PhD have revolved around the concept of the bodily self, with a focus on repercussions of a mind-body disconnection on mental health. I have since then developed a keen interest in both diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to health, and specifically in finding ways to prevent health disorders by monitoring and interpreting individuals’ everyday habits and behaviours.
I have a wealth of experience in developing and executing research strategies in a fast-paced, ever changing environment, by adapting them to the business needs. I have built research teams from scratch, managing to integrate them successfully within the wider business. I have a record of efficient and productive cross-functional work across the business, including product, legal & regulatory, PR & marketing teams, as well as strong relationships with external stakeholders.
